The Great African Scandal (2007)

"In this thought-provoking documentary, made with the help of Christian Aid, academic Robert Beckford undertakes a challenging, emotional journey to Ghana in West Africa. This is where, two centuries ago, Robert Beckford’s ancestors were seized and taken as slaves to Jamaica. Now he is making a journey to the land of his roots to discover the hidden costs of rice, chocolate and gold."

This was great to see. The gentleman is asking the right questions and framing the issues correctly. It is nice to see this done by a son of Africa born in the West. No one starves unless some one wants them to starve. If you do not believe this it is because you have had the privilege of never existing with abject poverty!

Mo,sorry you misunderstood my feelings, africa has greater horrors than what this film presents, these people filmed are somewhat fortunate considering the children being abducted to fight with the brutal rebels, they are beaten, raped, murdered and when not, Must partake in unmentionable astrosties. Actually these persons in the film have more Life than What lays on our city street! God bless...
