"Strangers tells the compelling tale of two young men, one Arab and one Jewish who are motivated by fear to overcome their racial prejudice and hatred when suddenly confronted with a menacing gang of skinheads."
The movie to me was very powerfully done. No words spoken yet plenty of communication. It was not only about white racism. If you read the interaction between the arab and the Jew there was contempt and racism from the beginning, between each other. The Nazis were just another form of racism aside from the original two people on the subway. The climatic moment when the two men became one in order to escape hatred was a wonderful statement. It bonded them yet it didn't really make it across the cultural divide - they are left on opposite sides of the tracks at the end and still go their separate ways. Fabulous insight.
